Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival Returns in 2020
After its cancellation in the Spring of 2019, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is set to return to Sunshine Grove, Florida in the Spring of 2020.
“Okeechobeeings,” as they are called, were disappointed to hear that the multi-genre music and art festival would not be returning in 2019 as planned. After much speculation, no definite reason was stated by the festival organizers; however, they posted this heartfelt letter to fans sharing the news.

Okeechobee began in 2016 and since then has hosted pop, rock, electronic, reggae, and hip-hop artists from around the world. In previous years, some of the headlining artists included Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Mumford & Sons, Wiz Khalifa, Skrillex, Slightly Stoopid and more.
In 2018, the music fest had seven unique and one of a kind stages; two of which include Incendia and Aquachobee Beach. Incendia, as hinted by its name, is a stage that is engulfed in a flame show while artists perform while Aquachobee Beach is on the shore where festival-goers can sit in the sand or ride the infamous Ferris wheel while watching performances all day long.
On August 24, 2019, the music and art fest announced its resurrection scheduled for the Spring of 2020. Although an artist lineup is yet to be released, Okeechobee has been encouraging the spread of its return by creating catchy graphics that fans can share with each other.
