Watch Harry Styles and FKA Twigs Perform on BBC Two’s ‘Later…With Jools Holland’

Harry Styles, FKA Twigs, and more artists performed on BBC Two’s Later…With Jools Holland music series with various sets and amazing set lists.Harry Styles and FKA Twigs both returned this year with new projects for fans that showed their progression as artists and their journeys into new eras with their music careers. On the Later…With Jools Holland season finale, both artists showed off their incredible talents and the overall tone for their new projects.

In the BBC series, Twigs performed her vulnerable ballad, “Cellophane,” and her female-empowering song through the story of Mary Magdalene, “Mary Magdalene.” Twigs released her album, Magdalene, early this month featuring an emotional, experimental, beautiful project which showcased her lyrical and creative talent. In Twigs’ “Mary Magdalene” performance, she included mesmerizing choreography and a sword solo to conclude her act.

Styles also showcased his two recently released singles, “Lights Up,” and “Watermelon Sugar” from his upcoming album Fine Line. During his musical set, he performed “Lights Up” first with lively, soulful backup singers and a fantastic band. In his second performance, he lit up the stage again for “Watermelon Sugar” and joined in with his band for the instrumentals by playing the acoustic guitar. Moreover, Styles sat down with Jools Holland and discussed Fine Line,  his musical inspirations, and what inspires him to write a song.

Styles and Twigs were not the only ones performing for the season finale of Later…With Jools Holland. Brittany Howard, Noel Gallagher, Sir Tom Jones, and Abdullah Ibrahim were featured as guests of Jools Holland, providing a variety of musical elements to the last series of this season. On Instagram, Jools Holland posted a picture of all the guests and thanked the crew, BBC, and musical guests. He also let his followers know another series will be happening next year.
