AMC Networks to Release Upcoming Series ‘The Beast Must Die’ Starring Cush Jumbo and Jared Harris
The UK original series, The Beast Must Die, will be released by AMC Networks later this year.
AMC Networks the rights to the six-part UK original series, The Beast Must Die. The revenge thriller is based on Nicholas Blakes’s novel that goes by the same name. The series is directed by Dome Karukoski and produced by Sarada McDermott, who also produced the award-winning show, Bridgerton. The cast includes Jared Harris (The Crown, The Terror, Mad Men), Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife, The Good Fight), and Billy Howle (MotherFatherSon) to name a few in this star-studded lineup.
The Beast Must Die follows the life of a grieving mother (Jumbo), who tries to accuse a man (Harris) who she believes was involved in the death of her son. The series was filmed on The Isle of Wight, located off the south coast of England.
On February 18 the official Instagram account for AMC shared a few sneak-peek clips of the upcoming series, getting fans excited for the series.
During the AMC’s panel at the virtual CTAM Winter 2021 press tour, Jumbo stated, “We were on this island. These characters are trapped on this island. Everything is cyclical, and it energized in a different kind of way”.
Since AMC announced their acquisition, fans have taken to Twitter to express their support and excitement towards the series.
