Jorja Smith Releases Music Video for Latest Single ‘Gone’
Jorja Smith has released an accompanying music video for her latest single “Gone.” Erin Corrian-Alexis shot the entire video and Ivor Alice and Smith herself provided edits. The emotional tune shows Smith aimlessly walking around an unspecified location and later on, she is seen driving a car.
“Gone” serves as the second single for Smith this year. Her first single “Addicted,” was released back in March. As with “Addicted,” Smith shares her meaning behind “Gone.” She reveals, “This one is just me asking why people have to be taken from us.” Smith delivers yet another relatable track, as many of us find ourselves thinking about those that are no longer with us. The connection between the artist and fans is a very special concept to Smith, who loves it when her lyrics can be interpreted in a completely different way by fans.
Listening to Jorja Smith’s new songs, Gone is a great song and the way the instrumental shifts a bit at the chorus to support her voice is A1, really loved the added bass and other vocals. Jorja does really great with the whole tragic love vibe, as we see on her other song-

Smith first gained recognition for her 2018 album Lost and Found. Smith had only been twenty years old at the time, delivering fans one of the best fusions of R&B, soul, and trip-hop in a long time. She became a Grammy-nominated artist the following year. Smith had been nominated alongside H.E.R., Margo Price, Chloe x Halle, Luke Combs, Bebe Rexha, and Greta Van Fleet, and Dua Lipa for Best New Artist, an award that went to Dua Lipa at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
