Nicki Minaj Drops Surprise Re-Release of ‘Beam Me Up Scotty’
Nicki Minaj surprised her loyal fans late last night with a re-release of her mixtape ‘Beam Me Up Scotty’ that was originally released back in 2009. The Queen of Rap has made her return to music and back to claim her rightful throne.
The new mixtape includes three new songs “Fractions,” a “Crocodile Teeth” remix, and “Seeing Green” with Drake and Lil Wayne for a total of almost 80 minutes of listening and entertainment. The ‘Itty Biggy Piggy’ rapper posted the official announcement on Instagram.
Over the past week, the female rapper posted photos and videos to her Instagram page teasing her fellow Barbz about new music being released. One of the images showed Nicki Minaj wearing an assortment of pink while covering herself with pink heart pillows with the caption “F R I D A Y 🤞🏽” giving off Pink Friday vibes. Celebrities Tamera Mowry and Normani commented on the photo expressing their excitement and support for the queen’s return to music.
If that wasn’t enough tease for the Barbz, Nicki also posted a photo of herself on Instagram along with a snippet of a verse from the new single “Fractions” that received over 4.2 million likes.
Nicki went on Instagram live to celebrate the mixtape’s re-release. According to USA Today, the rapper mentioned, “I knew if I just rereleased the mixtape without putting anything new, I knew y’all would cuss me the (expletive) out,” Minaj said.
After taking some time away to start her family, the Queen of Rap is serving up looks and loyal support from all her fans. Barbz all over can stream the new mixtape available now on Spotify and Apple Music.
