Dua Lipa Cast for New Spy Thriller ‘Argylle’
Dua Lipa will appear alongside A-list actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Henry Cavill, John Cena, Catherine O’Hara, Bryan Cranston, Sam Rockwell, and Bryce Dallas Howard in director Matthew Vaughn’s new spy thriller Argylle. This is the first time that the pop artist has ever taken an acting role. In addition to her scenes, she has also prepared the movie’s title track and score.
Matthew Vaughn has also worked on the action series Kingsman and plans on Argylle being the first of three films. He works with Adam Bohling, David Ried, Zygi Kamasa, Carlos Peres, Claudia Vaughn, and Adam Fishbach as executive producers. Vaughn reflected on the script for the spy franchise saying, “When I read this early draft manuscript, I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the 50s. This is going to reinvent the spy genre.” After the Kingsman franchise ended, the team could not work on another series due to the pandemic.

Kamasa, Marv’s CEO, stated, “We are delighted that we will be starting our fourth and by far the biggest, feature film production since the start of the global pandemic. It demonstrates both our desire to scale up our production activity and our ambition to continue to launch new franchises beyond the Kingsman series of films.”
Matthew Vaughn is currently working on a prequel to the Kingsman series called The King’s Man. This film is scheduled to be released in December 2021 by Disney in theaters.
