Spin Master Announces New ‘PAW Patrol’ Animated Film
From creator Keith Chapman comes PAW Patrol: The Movie, an upcoming animated film based on Nickelodeon’s award-winning preschool television series. Paramount Pictures is scheduled to release the film to theaters and Paramount+ on August 20.
Spin Master Entertainment announced the star-studded cast for PAW Patrol: The Movie in October. The voice cast includes Jimmy Kimmel, Dax Shepard, Kim Kardashian West, and Tyler Perry. The movie is the first of several feature films planned by Spin Master.
The PAW Patrol television program was created by British writer and producer Keith Chapman, who also created the popular children’s series Bob the Builder. The feature film will be directed by Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature director Cal Brunker. Jennifer Dodge, Executive Vice President of Spin Master, will produce. The executive producers are Ronnen Harary, Spin Master’s Co-Founder, Adam Beder, Spin Master’s Executive Vice President Strategic Partnership & Franchise Development, and Peter Schlessel.
PAW Patrol: The Movie follows the adventures of Ryder and his team of pups who are always ready to save the day in Adventure Bay. Ryder and his friends team up with a new ally named Liberty when one of the pups faces his past in Adventure City. When their rival Humdinger becomes mayor of nearby Adventure City, the team is called in to stop him from turning the metropolis into chaos. With new gadgets, gear, and vehicles, the PAW Patrol works together to save their city.
Adam Levine of multi-Grammy® Award-winning band, Maroon 5, will perform an original song in the movie called “Good Mood,” written by himself, Shellback, Savan Kotecha, and Oscar Görres. The track is upbeat, fun, and features Levine’s signature falsetto.
Spin Master Corp. is set to debut a new toy collection for the film. After fans experience PAW Patrol on the big screen for the first time, they can recreate their favorite movie moments with their new toys. Chris Beardall, Spin Master’s President, and Toys and Chief Commercial Officer, says, “Our PAW Patrol fans around the world have developed deep connections with the compelling characters and their adventures, a connection that extends beyond the screen, inspiring preschoolers through physical play. Our toy designers collaborated with the Spin Master Entertainment team to ensure that the epic PAW Patrol: The Movie toy line is a true reflection of the cinematic experience.”
