Lizzo Tears up When Giving New Heartfelt Speech to Missy Elliott
Lizzo got emotional when she gave a beautiful speech to her role model and rapper, Missy Elliott. She dedicated her heartfelt speech to Elliott, who was just awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Friends of Elliott attended the ceremony in her honor, such as Lizzo herself, Ciara, and Janelle Monae.
Lizzo gave a beautiful speech, explaining how Elliott has shaped her into the artist she is today and impacted others. “I watched you my entire life, and I saw a superstar in you, but I also saw myself, and I’d never seen myself before. You live so boldly and so beautifully and so unapologetically and so out loud. You have no idea what you have done for so many Black girls.”
