Arlo Parks is back with new music. The “Violet” singer shared an ethereal cover of Harry Styles’ summer hit, “Watermelon Sugar.”

It may not be summer yet, but we are undoubtedly feeling that summer feeling after Arlo Parks’ breezy cover of “Watermelon Sugar.” The fellow British singer-songwriter shared a stripped-down, acoustic version of the pop anthem on March 11. Parks performed the cover at the Deezer Sessions Studio located in Paris. The performance shows the singer opting for comfortable clothing, donning a Talking Heads t-shirt.

“Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles won him his first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 63rd Grammy Awards. The track appears on his Grammy-nominated record and sophomore effort, Fine Line.

Parks and Styles are both fans of each other. Styles will soon be embarking on his Love on Tour, where he announced supporting acts to open up his shows. Parks is one of the confirmed guests, with other associated acts like Wolf Alice, Mitski, and Koffee.

After Styles shared that tickets were on sale, Parks herself took to Instagram to write about opening up for Styles. She wrote, “I’M SUPPORTING MR HARRY STYLES IN DUBLIN!!!!? WE’RE TALKING STADIUM BABY!!! I’m still pinching myself, I still can’t believe this is real…thank you Harry for letting me share the stage with you.”

Arlo Parks is an accomplished poet and musician. Collapsed in Sunbeams, her debut album was released in January 2021. She earned herself two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Album.

Congratulations to Arlo Parks on a beautiful rendition of “Watermelon Sugar.” Collapsed in Sunbeams is available to stream on all major music platforms.
