Mia Goth Details What Fans Can Expect With New Film MaXXXine
Mia Goth is buckling up for one more ride with Ti West. The actress is slated to star in MaXXXine, the third installment of the horror franchise from collaborator Ti West.
Mia Goth has been a force to be reckoned with for a while now. Goth has proven to be immensely talented, starring in Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria with Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton, and later appearing in Emma alongside Anya Taylor-Joy.
Goth’s career took off last year after creating two films: X and Pearl. She co-wrote Pearl, a film that has gone on to receive critical acclaim for her stellar performance. The film follows Pearl (Goth) “trapped on her family’s isolated farm, where she must tend to her ailing father under the bitter and overbearing watch of her devout mother. Lusting for a glamorous life like she’s seen in the movies, Pearl finds her ambitions, temptations, and repressions all colliding.”
Goth revealed that Pearl was the most difficult role she has ever had to play. She states, “I believe Pearl has fundamentally changed me as a performer. It’s given me a whole new sense of self and a whole new level of confidence in terms of what I think I am able to do. It was a lot, but also just incredibly rewarding and such a gift to play.”

After Pearl, it is hard to imagine how MaXXXine, the final film of the trilogy, would level out with X and Pearl. The actress teases that the latest film has the “best script of the three by far,” and maintains that it will be “the best movie of the three.”
She adds, “It’s the biggest story of the three with the highest stakes and Maxine has gone through so much at this point. So when we find her in this new world, she’s just a force to be reckoned with and she goes through some pretty wild adventures.”
