Mattel Plans To Tell 45 More Toy Stories After ‘Barbie’
After the success of Mattel and Director Greta Gerwig’s movie Barbie, there is word of future toy movies.
Sources have stated that Barbie is the biggest toy movie to be released since Transformers. The success has given Mattel the green light to develop more toy movies.

The Mattel company owns Barbie amongst several other toy brands that now may make their way to theatres. They have begun to make plans for a “Mattel Universe” and produce 45 films from their sea of different brands within the company.
Another doll movie based on Polly Pocket has been announced, starring Lily Collins and directed by Lena Dunham. The Emily In Paris star shared her love for Polly Pockets during her childhood, stating: “As a child who was obsessed with Polly Pocket, this is a real dream come true, and I can’t wait to bring these tiny toys to the big screen.”

The well-known card game, Uno, is on the list of possible upcoming movies in the “Mattel Universe.”
Sources have confirmed that a script has already been written and American rapper, Lil Yachty, is in line for the leading role.
The list of nostalgic ideas continues as the famous children’s television series, Barney, may also make it to the big screen.
Actor Daniel Kaluuya will be producing the movie, and he claims it will be a “surrealistic” experience.
Warner Brothers and Mattel will be collaborating on a Hot Wheels movie directed by J.J. Abrams. Abrams has shared that the film will be “emotional and grounded and gritty.”
The future spotlight will also be shared with Thomas The Tank Engine in a nostalgic production directed by Marc Forster.
