As of February 5, a day after the announcement, Taylor Swift has officially released the track list for her upcoming album, The Tortured Poet’s Department.
Taylor Swift took to social media to release the full track list for her upcoming album, The Tortured Poet’s Department. Swift announced the new project during her acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 66 Grammy Awards.

It was rumored that Swift would be releasing something soon, but fans were not expecting a new album, much less the full track list less than a day later. On Twitter, she posted a vignette of her leaning against her hand with the caption, “I LOVE YOU; IT’S RUINING MY LIFE.” Ouch.
To the right of the picture, Swift lists the names of all sixteen songs (plus a bonus track), showcasing her creativity and skillful songwriting. That’s not the only thing we’re excited about, though, as The Tortured Poet’s Department will feature two completely original collaborations.
The first song on the album, “Fortnight,” will feature fellow rapper and singer Post Malone. The album will also highlight rock band Florence + The Machine on the song “Florida!!!” Swift is constantly creating new partnerships with other artists, bridging the gap between her Swifties and other fandoms, and creating an Avengers-style team of award-winning artists.

Fans are already speculating about the subjects of some of the songs, as “So Long, London” appears to be a contrast to “London Boy” (rumored to be about ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn), one of the tracks on Swift’s seventh studio album, Lover.
The sixth song on the album, “But Daddy I Love Him,” could reference the Disney movie The Little Mermaid, which premiered the same year the starlet was born. However, this track in particular, has both Taylor Swift and Harry Styles fanatics in an absolute frenzy, as the phrase “But Daddy I Love Him” appeared on a shirt worn by the “Watermelon Sugar” singer and has now been turned into an inside joke between the artist and his fans.
While we’re not completely sure what Swift has in store for us this time, all we can say is that we’re stoked to see what she has had up her sleeve for the past two years. You can pre-save The Tortured Poet’s Department, out April 19.
