Luke Hemmings has announced his solo tour, “Nostalgia for a Time That Never Existed.” He will begin touring North America, Europe, and the UK from May to June.

The tour announcement follows the news of his next EP, Boy, which will be released on April 26. The artist clarifies on X that this project is deeply personal to him. He states, in a tweet, “I wrote these songs in a moment in my life when I found myself questioning everything I thought I knew about the world & myself. All the emotions, fears and grief that came with it.”

In addition, his single “Shakes” was released on March 6. This trip marks the first solo tour that Hemmings will embark on. The duo, Cafuné, will be the opening act. Once it concludes, he will perform at the Boston Calling music festival on Friday, May 24. It is safe to assume that Hemmings has many exciting projects on the way for fans.

Hemmings is also the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band 5 Seconds of Summer, which consists of members Calum Hood (bass guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar), and Ashton Irwin (drums). The band formed in 2011 in Sydney, Australia. While Hemmings is working on his solo music, he is still busy with the group. Their last album, 5SOS, was released in 2022. They recently embarked on “The 5 Second of Summer Show World Tour” in 2023. The tour went to South America, North America, Europe, and the UK. Their most recent release is the single “Lighter,” which features David Guetta and Galantis on the track.

The “Shakes” singer released his debut studio album When Facing the Things We Turn Away From, under Sony Music Australia in 2021. Making this his first project, separate from 5 Seconds of Summer. When talking about this album, Hemmings describes it on X as “a project that grew out of a year of enforced stillness.” This album marked the beginning of his music outside of the band. It consisted of the following singles: “Motion,” “Place in Me,” and “Starting Line.” Furthermore, “Staring Line” is accompanied by a music video.
