Joker: Folie À Deux Releases New Trailer
Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga create a new musical love story as Joker and Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie À Deux, which will be released worldwide on October 4.
On Tuesday, Warner Bros dropped the latest glimpse into Arthur Fleck (Joker) and Harley Quinn’s life behind bars. The trailer showcases Arthur awaiting trial institutionalized at Arkham for his crimes as Joker. He soon meets Harley and finds love as they begin to course through life, discovering the “music that’s always been inside him.”
The trailer previews Harley telling Arthur, “When I first saw Joker — when I saw you — for once in my life, I didn’t feel so alone anymore.” Upon the failed comedian’s release, the two create chaos as they embark on a doomed romantic misadventure.
The director, Todd Phillips, first teased the film in December 2022 through an Instagram post. The first look at Gaga’s character was released on Valentine’s Day last year, and the initial trailer premiered in April. Throughout the promotions, fans desperately awaited to see Phoenix and Gaga on the screens, entranced deep in an action-packed love story.

The 2019 Joker film was nominated for eleven Oscars, with Phoenix winning best actor and Hildur Guðnadóttir for original score. The film made history by becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie, reaching over one billion dollars.
Phoenix and Gaga are joined by Catherine Keener, Zazie Beetz, Ken Leung, and Brendan Gleeson. Steve Coogan, Jacob Lofland, Gattlin Griffith, and Bill Smitrovich are also cast.
Phillips wrote Joker: Folie À Deux with Scott Silver and produced it with Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Joseph Garner. Meanwhile, Michael E. Uslan, Georgia Kacandes, Silver, Mark Friedberg, and Jason Ruder are executive producers. Additionally, Lady Gaga served as a music consultant.

The musical thriller posted its trailer to its Instagram account. Excited fans commented, “This is the most anticipated and not of the year, Arthur is the best character represented in history… difficult to match!!! Is the best” and “MOVIE OF THE YEAR.”
