Grouptherapy Sets Stage for ‘The Shadowbox Tour’
Former childhood actors Jadagrace and Coy Stewart have transformed their careers and emerged as the hip-hop rap duo Grouptherapy.
Recently, they announced “The Shadowbox Tour,” which will traverse the United States and Europe. Fellow hip-hop artist MAVI will join them on this tour, adding further excitement to the lineup.
Grouptherapy initially began as a trio, which included another beloved childhood actor, Tyrel Jackson Williams, also known musically as TJOnline. The trio made their mark by releasing an EP and an album together.
Their EP, There Goes the Neighborhood, and album, I Was Mature for My Age, but I Was Still a Child, provided a raw and honest look at their struggles as young actors and their journey through adolescence.
In early 2023, Tyrel Jackson Williams retired from the group, leaving Jadagrace and Coy Stewart to continue as a duo. Despite this change, the remaining members have shown resilience and creativity, producing music and engaging with their audience.
They released new tracks, “Forever Freestyle” and “Forever Freestyle PT. 2,” along with accompanying music videos, demonstrating their evolving sound and maintaining their presence in the music industry.
The tour will start in September, beginning its North American leg. It will then move to Europe and conclude in November. This tour represents a significant milestone for Grouptherapy, marking their first major tour and an opportunity to reach a wider audience.
Beyond their music, Jadagrace and Coy Stewart have also created a unique platform for expression and connection with their segment, GTea with Grouptherapy. In this creative series, they discuss current issues in the music industry, such as the Big Three Beef, and personal topics, offering fans a deeper insight into their thoughts and experiences.
