Sabrina Carpenter Announces New Deluxe Edition of Short n’ Sweet
Have you ever tried, deluxe? Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating her two new Grammy wins with a gift for fans – a deluxe edition of her hit album Short n’ Sweet.
The new Grammy winner took to Instagram to share the exciting new project. “as a thank you for giving this album 2 Grammy’s :’) short n’ sweet deluxe is now available for pre order.. and yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy s***!!!!!,” she wrote.
Yes, you did indeed read that right. The Country Queen herself Dolly Parton is featured on the album’s second single, “Please Please Please.” Adding to the current 12-track album, the pop darling is releasing the following songs:
- “15 Minutes”
- “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder”
- “Busy Woman”
- “Bad Reviews”
- “Please Please Please” feat. Dolly Parton
Although Parton was a huge surprise for fans, they are also excited for the official release of “Busy Woman.” The track was written right after submitting SnS, hence not making the album’s final cut, though the song was available for a limited-edition download and was performed at the Brooklyn, NY stop on her “Short n’ Sweet Tour.” Nonetheless, fans who didn’t get to download the first time, are excited to finally have the songs, as well as the other new ones, added to their playlist.
Short n’ Sweet is Carpenter’s sixth studio album and, without a doubt, her most successful. The album spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard Top 200, making this her best opening week so far. Not to mention, the album features one of the hottest songs of the year, “Espresso,” and earned her two Grammys at Sunday’s ceremony.
The album was awarded Best Pop Vocal Album, facing stiff competition against heavy hitters like Ariana Grande’s eternal sunshine, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, and Chappell Roan’s Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Despite the nominees, the “Please Please Please” singer proved good things come in small (short?) packages and reigned supreme.
Now, she commemorates the occasion. Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Deluxe drops on February 14.
