Gracie Abrams Starts off New European Leg With a Bang
Gracie Abrams performed her largest headlining concert yet in Lisbon, Portugal. 18,000 fans got up on their feet and sang their hearts out to “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “Close to You” in the MEO Arena.
Following Abrams’ two performances in Madrid, Lisbon was her second stop on the European leg of her “The Secret of Us Tour.”
The “That’s So True” singer opened the concert, revealing, “This is our biggest headline show ever, and I can’t stop smiling already. I cannot believe you’re all in this room right now… I don’t know how I’m supposed to like, get through the night without sobbing, but this is magical because of you. Thank you so much for making this happen.”

She sang her way through the set list, mostly consisting of songs from her most recent album, The Secret of Us, also featuring some of her older songs.
Over halfway through the set, she moved to Stage B, decorated as her childhood bedroom, which is something new to her tour and not included in the North American leg. Here, she sang songs from past albums, including the surprise song “Amelie,” “Cool,” and “I Miss You, I’m Sorry.”

The night ended with everybody up and out of their seats, dancing and singing to “Close To You.” Abrams vocalized, “This song would certainly not exist without you. I love you more than anything. Please dance with us to this very last chorus.”
The artist has grown dramatically since the release of The Secret of Us. In 2020, she debuted with singles like “21,” gaining a small fanbase. After joining Taylor Swift on her “Eras Tour” and releasing two new and complete albums, she’s now selling out an almost 20,000-person arena.
The singer-songwriter went speechless on Tuesday night after hearing a stadium full of her fans singing the lyrics of “21” back to her—a song reminiscent of where she started but a reflection of where she is now.
