Filming for the Sex And The City reboot is well underway, but a recently leaked script is creating a buzz online. Nearly 17 years after the series ended, And Just Like That explores the lives of our favorite NYC ladies – namely Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). Warning: Spoilers Below

According to Page Six, our favorite love columnist is well in her 50s and the host of a successful podcast. But it looks like Carrie and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) are heading for divorce. The two married during the first Sex And The City movie, which premiered in 2008. That is when audiences first saw Mr. Big get cold feet, leaving Carrie at the altar only to come to his senses later on. Now, the couple’s finances seem to be tearing them apart.

The leaked scene finds Carrie at a dinner with her closest friends from the series: Stanford Blatch (played by Willie Garson), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis).

“I was taping the podcast; I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage,” Carrie tells them, according to Glamour. “Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?”

Fans will remember that Mr. Big was married twice before – both also ending in divorce. Meanwhile, Carrie’s love life on the show often brought her back to on-and-off-again boyfriend Aiden Shaw (John Corbett). After confessing her love for Aiden to an unamused Mr. Big, the financier proposed a massive black diamond ring.

That’s all we know so far about the upcoming HBO Max limited series. While everyone’s favorite publicist Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), won’t be returning for the reboot, Sarah Ramirez, Nicole Ari Parker, and Karen Pittman have joined the cast.

Fans got a look into Carrie’s new wardrobe and a possible COVID storyline as the actors were spotted wearing masks. Additionally, photos from the cast on set in Soho have been circulating in recent days. Be sure to keep an eye out for more filming locations in the coming months.

We couldn’t help but wonder… what will this divorce and new additions to the series mean for Carrie? How will she and her friends approach their 50s in NYC? Get up-to-date on all things And Just Like That with this guide from Harpers Bazaar.
