Brandi Carlile Delivers Excellent Performance of ‘Right on Time’ on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

Brandi Carlile delivered a memorable debut performance of her latest song, “Right on Time,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This performance comes shortly after Carlile announced her seventh studio album, In These Silent Days, out on October 1. 

The country rockstar began her performance alone on stage alongside a piano. The stage is a dim-lit blue, with Carlile at the center of it all. She is wearing a shiny black embroidered blazer, sitting at her piano, engaging with the audience about to deliver an intimate performance.

Carlile quickly begins to build anticipation once she sings the lyrics, “It’s not too late, / Either way, I lose you in these silent days,” followed by the first high note, “It wasn’t right,” which receives thunderous applause and praise. That note allowed the performance to soar to new heights. Followed by that unforgettable part, Carlile transitions back to her band, draping her guitar over her body, ready to rock out.

The Grammy award-winning artist and New York Times Best Selling author shared images to her social media, thanking fans and New York for such a warm welcome back.

Carlile revealed that her latest single, “Right on Time,” can be compared to her chart-topping hit song, “The Joke,” a song she released into the world almost four years ago. She knew the songwriting process would take a while, and she needed to be sure that her latest single was ready to soar and connect with her fans like her last album.
