The sensual cover art of Ledé with Kehlani holding her face let fans know this new song would be a good one. Debuting on July 23, “Ur Best Friend” is out, and it sounds amazing.
Thinking about how different Ledé’s newfound relationship is at the beginning of the song, Kehlani comes in later as the “best friend” in question. “Ur Best Friend” is Ledé’s latest release since dropping her KIKI album in April 2020, as well as one of Kehlani’s most recent projects as well. Ledé has developed into her sound and what kind of R&B artist she is. Not afraid to show vulnerability in her music in songs like “Ladylike” and “Crazy,” she has created a vault of honest and relatable R&B music.
Ledé has always recently been involved in a larger project called Femme It Foward, with other artists such as Tierra Whack, SAYGRACE, and Lauren Jauregui.
