Euphoria Fans Should Brace Themselves For a Rocky New Season Two

Warner Media Group

The creator of HBO’s hit series Euphoria has recently revealed that season two will be “brutal”. With the addition to the recent interviews with hints dropped by cast members such as Zendaya, it’s clear that eager die-hard fans may have a devastating plot twist ahead which may make that long awaited premiere bittersweet.

After a hiatus due to COVID-19 delays, fans are anticipating a season two for the popular series. However, viewers should probably begin mentally preparing themselves for a pretty dark season.

Cast members such as Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya have mentioned in past interviews that the anticipated second season would be dark and devastating. According to ScreenRant, creator and showrunner Sam Levinson added:

“It’s such a brutal season and what I love the most about Z is she’s able to go to those dark places and then as soon as I call cut, she’s hanging out behind the monitor, eating Cheesecake Factory and cracking jokes. She’s also family. We just shoot the shit all day. We talk about the show, the characters, life, movies, politics. She’s one of the most grounded human beings I know.”

Season one’s finale was already devastating enough after Rue not only backs out from running away with Jules, but relapses after Jules leaves alone. Furthermore, dozens of questions are still unanswered about other characters’ fates such as Maddy, Nate, Mckay, Cassie, and more.

Unfortunately, Euphoria season two still has no exact premiere date. However, fans can expect a premiere during early 2022. In the meantime, season one is available for binge-watching on HBO Max.
