Summer Walker and JT from City Girls collaborate for new song “Ex for a Reason.” It will be apart of Walker’s newest album, Still Over It.

In this fiery and catchy single, Walker and JT call out cheating partners, telling their partners that they’re an ex for a reason. In addition, they call out the girls their partners left them for, only to come to find out that the girls have left them too.

Walker announced two years ago that she was recording a new album during COVID-19. Still Over It has been in the making since then and will drop on November 5. The album will follow breakup themes and each song will tell a story. Prior to releasing “Ex for a Reason,” she released a music video for her song “Body” earlier this year.

Walker shot to stardom with her hit single “Over It.” During the same year, “Over It” landed number 1 on the Billboard 200 for thirteen weeks. Since then, she’s won a Soul Train Award for Album of the Year in 2020 and been nominated for a number of awards, including for BET, MTV, and Billboard.

In addition, she was nominated for Best New Artist, Best R&B Music Video, Top R&B Album, and more. She is signed to Interscope Records.

While fans wait for more details “Ex for a Reason” is available on all music streaming services. Still Over It is expected to release on November 5.
