Downton Abbey: A New Era released its first official trailer on November 15. Last week, Focus Features released a 15-second teaser that got fans excited for the new trailer to drop. 

Downton Abbey: A New Era is the sequel to the film Downton Abbey. The movie follows the show Downton Abbey that has run for six seasons and counting.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the lavish life of the Crawley family. The family is traveling to France to stay in their decadent villa.

The trailer’s beginning showcases the Crawley’s Yorkshire estate that Dowager Countess has inherited from a former lover. The family finds out they have a French villa, so the Crawley’s and their servants will leave the estate to go to France. The trailer precedes to hint at a wedding between the widower Tom Branson and Lucy Smith. 

Downton Abbey: A New Era’s trailer showcases the Crawley’s living in style by traveling on a speed boat, going to luxurious parties, and hitting the tennis courts. 

The movie will star returning characters including Maggie Smith, Brendan Coyle, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Jim Carter and, Elizabeth McGovern.
