In the age of genre-bending music, Snoop Dogg is making his contribution after he revealed that a collaboration with BTS is underway.

While being interviewed on the red carpet premiere of American Song Contest with The A.V. Club, he stated, “I make good music. They make good music,” he then stated,  “And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together.” When news of this broke, the BTS Army went into a frenzy.

Snoop Dogg has quite a bit of experience in the K-Pop genre. In the past, he’s worked with the girl group Girls Generation and 2NE1. The iconic rapper also teamed up with rap group MONSTA X for a song on the Spongebob film.

The “Dynamite” singers gave a nod to the legend’s 1993 album Doggystyle during their song “Hip Hop Phile.” The song was from their album Dark & Wild in 2014. Additionally, in January of this year, Snoop Dogg spoke with Druski on Mogul Talk. “I got a group named BTS that’s waiting on me to do a song with them right now, and I’m trying to figure out if I got time to do this…”

With being something that’s been in the works for a while, it’s only a matter of time before what could be one of the hottest tracks of the year drops.
