On April 19, beauty brand Glossier unveiled Rodrigo as the face of their You Look Good campaign with a playful video narrated by none other than the Sour popstar herself. The singer often pulls out all stops for her outfits, wearing colorful hues and fun Y2K pieces. When it comes to makeup, Rodrigo typically goes for simplistic glowy skin, fluffy brows, and winged liner.

“I always feel the best when I’m in makeup that I feel enhances what I have naturally,” Rodrigo stated in the video.

Glossier is known for its minimalist approach to beauty with hero products, and some of Olivia's favorites, like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, and Ultralip.

Beauty trends are constantly being recycled, and Glossier’s focus on barely-there makeup is having a moment. Clean makeup is trending on TikTok with 198.7M views on its respective hashtag. Most of the videos show people with radiant skin, delicate winged liner to brighten the eyes, and a rosy glow on the cheeks.

Ultimately, personal style stands in the face of all trends, which is the underlying message of Glossier’s You Look Good campaign.

Glossier CEO Emily Weiss elaborated on the campaign message in an Instagram post, writing, “In our initial launch blog post, we said, ‘Glossier is about living in—and embracing—the now, not the past, and not the future. It’s about fun and freedom and being OK with yourself today.’ Olivia gets it; she IS it. She reminds us all: You Look Good.”

Weiss also called out Rodrigo’s loyalty to the brand in her Instagram caption, saying, “Olivia, you’ve been a Glossier girl for years—and you’re basically a manifestation of our dream girl since 2014.”

The 19-year-old has worn a full face of Glossier on nearly every red carpet and at every award show, including the 2022 Grammys, where she won best new artist, best pop vocal album, and best pop solo performance for “Drivers License.”

Considering the popularity of celebrity beauty brands and influencer collaborations, Rodrigo's partnership with Glossier is one that just makes sense, and fans are in agreement.
