Halle Bailey is dappling in the realm of music. The Grown-ish star, 22, revealed new music is in the works by posting a clip on social media.

Bailey’s voice is hypnotic and beautiful as she sings about love in a mid-tempo. However, don’t be deceived by the tempo. Underneath it is a heavenly voice, pleading with her love interest to open up to her. Despite not being the type of girl they’re used to, to share the feelings they have for her. She sings to her love interest about how she deserves “a love that doesn’t hurt” because she’s “been through so much worse.” Although there’s no release date when her album will be available, Bailey teased a snippet of information from her cat, Poseidon.

“Hey, guys, Poseidon here. You all have been messaging my Mommy about when she’s releasing music and she will in due time. The creative process is a wild one so you have to be patient!! Love you!” the tweet read.

Clearly, music is in the Bailey family’s blood. Big sister Chloe Bailey, who goes by the synonymous “Chloë,” has released a couple of albums. She dropped her first album in 2017, entitled “The Two of Us.” Halle got her toes wet in music after the sisters collaborated for Chloë’s album “Ungodly Hour.”

Bailey has had a busy schedule, taking on many projects. In addition to her new music, both remakes of The Little Mermaid and The Color Purple are set to release next year. Since both films are musicals, fans will be able to listen to her gorgeous voice. While we wait for updates, fans can follow Bailey’s Instagram and Twitter.
