It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The official trailer for Apple TV+’s new holiday movie, Spirited, is finally here.

After the release of the teaser trailer last month, we have patiently awaited the arrival of Spirited’s official trailer. Now that it’s here, we are one step closer to the film’s official release. The upcoming holiday movie will take us on a magical Christmas journey as actors Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds retell the timeless tale of A Christmas Carol, only this time, with a musical twist.

Reynolds took to Twitter to post the official trailer, “Amazing what a year’s worth of tap dance classes can do. If only Will and I took them. #Spirited on @AppleTVPlus”

Spirited will put a new spin on the beloved classic, A Christmas Carol. As the story goes, Ebenezer Scrooge despises Christmas, so on Christmas Eve night, he is visited by three Ghosts; The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. The Ghosts take Scrooge on a journey through his past, present, and the potentially dark future that awaits if he stays the same grumpy Christmas-hating man he is. In the end, Scrooge changes his ways for the better and transforms into a kind-hearted Christmas enthusiast.

In the film, Will Ferrell takes on the role of the Ghost of Christmas Present, who must pick a Scrooge whom he believes will benefit the most from seeing these three different Christmas ghosts. Unfortunately, this time, he chooses the wrong Scrooge, a man named Clint Briggs, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds. Throughout the night, Briggs forces the Ghost of Christmas Present to reflect on his past, present, and yet-to-come. The trailer teases big dance numbers, fun costumes, and witty banter between Reynolds and Ferrell.

As further promotion for the film, Reynolds popped back onto Twitter to post a hilarious clip of himself and Ferrell discussing the film in front of a cozy fireplace. In the clip, Ferrell hilariously states, “This is easy, some simple disclaimers. Hey everyone! Spirited is NOT Elf. It’s NOT Deadpool, either. It is a musical. It is funny.”

Fans love the hilarious Christmas duo that is Reynolds and Ferrell, but the cast is full of other talented singers and actors such as Octavia Spencer (The Help), Sunita Mani (Glow), Patric Page (In the Heights), Joe Tippett (Rise), Marlow Barkley (Single Parents), and Jen Tullock (Before You Know It).

Get ready to dance and sing along as Spirited will premiere in theaters on November 11 and globally on Apple TV+ on November 18. Watch the official trailer below to get in the holiday spirit.
