Jonah Hill and Keanu Reeves Team Up for Apple’s Exciting Dark Comedy Outcome
Jonah Hill has found a lot of success in recent years, both in front of and behind the camera. Keanu Reeves has also been doing well as a darling for movie audiences. The powers of these two will soon combine for the comedic film Outcome.
Hill and Reeves are teaming up for a new dark comedy. Not only will Outcome star the two actors, but Hill has also been involved in making this film. Hill will be directing the movie and co-wrote it with screenwriter Ezra Woods. In addition, Hill will produce this project with his production company, Strong Baby. This project has been shopping for studios but recently landed on Apple Original Films. While the film has not announced when filming will begin, eyes will be on the lookout for this new dynamic duo.

In Outcome, Reeves will embody the role of Reef, a fallen Hollywood actor who needs to confront his past. Reef has to make amends for his past and make apologies. This begins with facing the video that led to his fall from grace. There has yet to be any word on what role Hill will be embodying in this film. Based on this plot, there will likely be a mix of comedy and drama. Due to these actors’ long experiences in Hollywood, they should be able to tell a story about Hollywood well.

Hill has proven himself over the years as an actor and writer. He recently starred in You People on Netflix, which he also co-wrote. Last year, Hill directed and starred in the documentary Stutz, which focused on his therapist and mental health. In 2021, he starred in the satire Don’t Look Up. While Hill got his start in acting, he has done a lot more work lately behind the scenes. In 2018, his film Mid90s came out, which is a film that he directed, wrote, and produced. Outcome will combine his on-screen and off-screen talent, which should hopefully turn out well.

Reeves has become a favorite among moviegoers. On March 24, John Wick 4 came out, which is the fourth film in the beloved action hero franchise. In addition, he will star in the upcoming John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. Reeves also recently worked on long-awaited continuations of other franchises. In 2021, he starred as Neo in the newest Matrix film, The Matrix Resurrections. Right before that, he was in the Bill and Ted Face the Music, the third film in the Bill and Ted franchise, as Ted Logan. Reeves has been making many crowd-pleasers, but Outcome could be the film to display his acting abilities truly.

Throughout the 2020s, Apple Original Films has taken off as an esteemed film production company. These are films that often premiere on Apple’s streaming service, Apple TV+. In 2022, the production company took home Best Picture at the Oscars for CODA. Other films from the company include Greyhound, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Causeway, and, recently, Tetris. Upcoming movies include Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, and Ghosted. Outcome is not the only upcoming film of Hill by Apple. He is also working with Martin Scorsese on a Grateful Dead biopic. The movie world is another area that Apple is trying hard to conquer.

With Hill and Reeves currently working on other projects and their generally busy lives, it may be a while before audiences see Outcome. However, this acquisition by Apple puts the film one step closer to development. Considering a director, writer, producers, and starring actors have been taken care of, that puts this film closer to development than many other announced films. Hill and Reeves have never worked together before, but combining their styles for this upcoming project will surely lead to an exciting story.
