The highly anticipated season finale for HBO series Insecure will be making its final debut this October. Although it may be approaching the time for fans to say goodbye to Issa Dee, it won’t be the last they see of Issa Rae’s creations.

The Insecure gang is back, but this time it’s to offer closure to their fans as they wrap up for their fifth and final season.

Spoiler Alert: After witnessing the painfully dissolving friendship between Molly and Issa, along with Lawrence’s sudden reappearance, and a shockingly pregnant Condola, viewers may be wondering what the plot for the anticipated finale would entail.

Plot details for the finale have not been disclosed just yet but viewers can expect the story to continue to follow their favorite characters (and least favorite) as they maneuver their way through relationships and the next phase of their lives.

HBO’s executive vice president of programming, Amy Gravitt said in a press release:

“Issa has turned insecurity into an iconic form of comedy. The show is as incisive as it is heartfelt, and it has resonated strongly with its audience because of the deeply personal work that Issa, Prentice, Melina, the cast and the writers have put into it. This talented team has conceived a brilliant final season for Insecure and we look forward to having many more stories to tell with this singular group of collaborators.”

The finale will be making its last round with returning faces including Rae, of course; Yvonne Orji as Molly Carter, Jay Ellis as Lawrence Walker, Amanda Seales as Tiffany Dubois, Christina Elmore as Condola Hayes, Leonard Robinson as Taurean Jackson, Natasha Rothwell as Kelli Prenny, and more.

The season finale may be bittersweet, however, Issa Rae fans can still tune in to HBO and watch her reality series, Sweet Life: Los Angeles and upcoming comedy, Rap Sh*t, co-produced by City Girls. The newlywed star is also an executive producer for Emmy-nominated A Black Lady Sketch Show and makes several appearances.

There is no exact date for the premiere of Insecure season 5 as of yet, however, viewers can stream seasons 1-4 on HBO Max in the meantime.
