Avril Lavigne and Yungblud Release New Song ‘I’m A Mess’
The pop-punk excellence continues. Avril Lavigne and Yungblud joined forces on the track, “I’m A Mess.” The singers teased their upcoming song together last week.
The Princess of Pop-Punk took to Instagram on October 25 to post a video of Yungblud cutting her hair in the bathroom. Just one day later, Lavigne confirmed that the duo would be releasing a new single together. Their collaboration, “I’m A Mess,” features a black and white photo of the two handcuffed to each other.
Despite the “Sk8er Boi” hitmaker feeling anxious over her makeover, she later posted stunning snaps of her orange-tinged bob.
“I’m A Mess” was written by Lavigne and Yungblud as well as Blink-182’s Travis Barker and John Feldmann. As if fans could not be any more excited over the collaboration, the singers also dropped an accompanying music video.
2022 is undoubtedly Avril Lavigne’s year. She released her seventh studio album, Love Sux, got engaged to fellow musician Mod Sun in front of the Eiffel Tower, and more recently, was honored with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Yungblud has also kept himself busy this year. He released his self-titled third studio album this past September and announced an extensive world tour. He writes, “The difference here is that I have thought and felt this record so deeply. I went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. I studied it, I bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation, and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.”
Congratulations to Avril Lavigne and Yungblud on an epic collaboration. “I’m A Mess” is available to stream on all major music platforms.
