Written and executive produced by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, the series will follow Spencer as she reprises her role as Poppy, an investigative reporter turned crime podcaster. This season will explicitly take a look at America’s obsession with true crime podcasts and challenge its viewers to consider the consequences when the pursuit of justice is placed on a public stage.

Poppy Scoville will take on a new case focused on the disappearance of a young Black woman. Frustrated with the lack of media coverage for the several missing young Black girls, Poppy teams up with an unlikely principal Eva Gabrielle Union, to keep the victims’ names in the public eye. Throughout the investigation, she suspects the disappearances to be a part of an organized sex trafficking ring. One thing is for sure, this season will have you on the edge of your seat.
The 10-episode season will make its debut on January 20 with new episodes dropping weekly. Watch the trailer for season 3 here.
