Megan Thee Stallion Stuns on Her ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’
The second night of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour” took on the Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit. A 31-city worldwide trek produced by Live Nation, the tour’s second leg began with the performance and opening act of GloRilla.
GloRilla’s opening act proudly and boldly emphasized her talent and versatility as an artist with rigorous choreography, a phenomenal display of range and rhythm, and her unexpected talent with an electric guitar solo. She performed songs from her current and previous discography, such as “FNF (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2 (feat Cardi B),” and her newest album, Ehhthang Ehhthang, Yeah Glo! The Memphis hitmaker also brought Detroit natives Skilla Baby and Peezy onstage.
As Megan Thee Stallion prepared for her performance, she engaged the audience with excellent theatrics through the high-quality screens of the arena. The “Hot Girl Summer Tour” is the first tour for the three-time Grammy award-winning superstar, and with Detroit as only her second city, eyes were all on her.

She began the concert with her newest hit, HISS, the first-ever solo female rap song to debut at number 1 on the Billboard Global 200. Performances, such as her latest singles, “Cobra,” “BOA,” and “Ungrateful,” were featured in her Traumatize album from 2022, setting the narrative for the snake persona.
Between the next act, the rapper’s performers entertained the audience by dancing in a circle, showcasing their talent through flexibility, creativity, and twerk ability. Her snakeskin has shed, and she has emerged anew, a rebirth of herself as a butterfly. Songs that embark on a new beginning, shedding her old self and rebirth for the Hot Girl, as she performed and the audience became one in tune; “Plan B,” “Conag Queen,” her debut album as artist alter-ego Tina Snow, and What’s New from her Good News album from 2020.

What’s more, the Houston Hottie also performed many classics throughout her years as a superstar, a credit to her Grammy wins, stellar talent, and musical capacity, with a few honorable mentions: “Girls in the Hood,” “Captain Hook,” from her Suga album from 2020, “Kitty Kat” and “Megan’s Piano” from her freestyle EP, Something for Thee Hotties from 2021, “WAP (feat Megan Thee Stallion)” and “Ride or Die,” a soundtrack piece from the film Queen & Slim.
Thee Stallion took a momentary intermission to highlight and appreciate the Detroit Hotties, paneling a POV camera across the arena. Many fans expressed their joy through physical enthusiasm, flaunting their Hot Girl fits and demonstrating incredible twerk skills, many of whom got a personal shoutout from Thee Stallion backstage. The Texan hitmaker returned with audience members alongside her, a crowd of enthusiastic fans readily shaking what their momma gave them on stage, each person getting roaring applause. Even an unexpected reunion between star characters Yuji Itadori and Satoru Gojo when two fans appeared on stage dressed in Jujutsu Kaisen cosplay.
In short, the second night of the “Hot Girl Summer Tour” ended with the dual performances of GloRilla and Megan The Stallion with their duet hit, “Wanna Be,” from Ehhthang Ehhthang. Thee Stallion and GloRilla showcased their impressive musical talents, chemistry, and personalities as they hyped one another during the performance.
