Victoria Monét Is Ready for Sun and Summer in the Teaser for New Single ‘Coastin’
Adding to the vault of new summer songs, Victoria Monét is gearing up for her summer debut with a new single aptly named “Coastin.” Posting quite unexpectedly to social media, the new single will be out in a few short days.
Making the news official on August 2, Monét took to social media to post a short video teaser for her upcoming single. The teaser gives off the blend of trumpets and soul music and sounds very reminiscent of Monét’s latest album Jaguar. Sticking to simplicity, the singer lets her fans know a “New tune otw” along with a few palm trees, an RV, and beachy vibe emojis; the single could highly focus on summer road trip fun and good vibes.
In the teaser video, Monét reveals “Coastin” will be released this upcoming Thursday, August 5, so fans of the songstress won’t have to wait for too long. Along with the upcoming new release, some fans received some exclusive merch for the new single ahead of its release. One user who goes by Desteni on Twitter posted the special package they received from Monét. In response to seeing her fanbase receive these special packages, Monét replied with a heartfelt message letting her fanbase know, “I appreciate you so much for your support,” as they continued to express their excitement for new music from the singer.

While working on her own music, Monét has been busying helping write music for close friend Ariana Grande, K-Pop superstars Blackpink, all while learning the in’s and out’s of being a new mom with her baby daughter Hazel. Monét has been building her image and creating a new persona for herself since the release of her newest album Jaguar, and the new look is going well for the R&B singer. Included on the Jaguar album, her single “Experience” featuring Khalid did quite well and was also infused with a funk-soul sound and quite reminiscent of the ’70s. With only a few more days of waiting, we can’t wait to be “Coastin” right along with Monét on this latest single.
