Doja Cat revealed this in an exciting series of tweets. In one tweet, she ominously wrote, “DC4 has a title now.” Following this, she made another tweet with the announcement, simply stating “#hellmouth.”

In a recent Dazed interview, the Grammy-award-winning singer shared more information about the album. Speaking to the outlet, she told them, “I think what I’ve fallen into is controlled chaos.”

“I’m crazy about putting different genres into the same album or even into the same song,” she explained.

Doja Cat has also stated she has created tracks from a year and a half ago and is planning on pushing them out. She is currently working on a consistent project that will hopefully become the upcoming album she is releasing.

But before dropping her new album, she commented “I would like to put out some singles that don’t really connect to it in any way. They’re just fun things that I would like to put out.”

Fans of the “Say So” singer swarmed to Twitter to share their excitement.

Hellmouth will follow up on Doja Cat’s previous, immensely popular album, Planet Her (2021). The R&B and the hip-hop-influenced pop album received positive reviews and came with a wide array of smash hit singles. The lead single, “Kiss Me More”, featured SZA and was released to intense fanfare. With the song, the duo won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2022 award ceremony. Her single “Need to Know” charted within the Billboard Hot 100 top-ten, and was praised for its music video visuals. And let us not forget the iconic songs: “Woman” and “Get Into It (Yuh).”

Although no other information regarding the album has come out, it will definitely be another great addition to the performer’s discography. Make sure to follow the artist herself on Twitter to stay updated. For more exciting music news, click here.
