The over-50-year-old Glastonbury Festival announced the lineup for the festival, which includes Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, Shania Twain, and Cindy Lauper.

The festival started in 1970, one day after Jimmy Hendrix passed away. Moreover, 1,500 people attended the festival, and they paid £1 ($1 in dollars), which included not only the tickets to the festival but a free stay at the farm and free milk. The festival’s values are “to encourage and stimulate youth culture from around the world in all its forms,” according to their official website.

Dua Lipa has performed at the festival twice, but this will be her first time headlining. The Grammy Award winner has an upcoming album, Radical Optimism, on May 3, and the festival will happen from June 26 to June 30, so fans can expect songs from the new album during her performance.

On the other hand, this will be SZA’s first time at the festival. Moreover, she is a headliner next to Dua Lipa and Coldplay. The four-time Grammy award winner and Dua Lipa are a part of Glastonbury. In addition, this is also the first headline to feature two women. This year’s lineup is full of women artists after last year’s backlash of a mostly male lineup.

The environmentally conscious band Coldplay performed at Glastonbury for the first time in 1999, 18 months after the first show of their career. Also, they have headlined the show four times before. Just like the band, the festival has a strong mission of being sustainable and doing its part in helping the world.

Additionally, Shania Twain closes off the headliner list, taking the “legend slot.” During her concerts, she brings horses onto the stage, and Twain hopes to do the same at the festival and be the first person to bring horses to the Glastonbury stage.

Some other names on the lineup include Cindy Lauper, Avril Lavigne, Camila Cabello, K-pop group Seventeen, Janelle Monae, Burna Boy, and The National. Fans are happy to see a largely female lineup for the festival.
