Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson shared a stunning rendition of “Nothing New.” The track appears on Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version).

On November 16, Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson uploaded her version of “Nothing New” live from her bed. Swift’s “Nothing New” features Phoebe Bridgers. Larson’s rendition is one minute and thirty seconds of pure emotion. She is lying down on a pillow gazing outside while strumming her silver guitar. Fans have praised Larson’s cover, calling her “the voice of an angel” while encouraging her to tour immediately.

Red (Taylor’s Version) is the second re-recorded album by Taylor Swift. The record was released this past Friday on November 12. It is safe to say that fans have gone crazy over the album, which features 30 tracks, including a whopping 10-minute version of the famous “All Too Well.”

Swift appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, revealing the moment she asked Bridgers to hop on “Nothing New.” Swift admits that Bridgers “is one of her favorite artists.” Swift expressed how meaningful it would be to her if Bridgers would sing this special song with her, and in true Phoebe fashion, she writes back, “I’ve been waiting for this text my entire life.” Bridgers confirms the story with a simple “true story” tweet. “Nothing New” continues to break records on streaming services such as Spotify, where Bridgers comically wrote, “Is everyone ok?”

Larson’s gorgeous vocals are not exactly hidden, as the actress has uploaded many covers on her social media accounts before. She has performed hit songs from Ariana Grande, Noah Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, and many more.

For long-time fans of Larson, she sang in her breakthrough performance as Envy Adams in the 2010 classic Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The actress played Scott Pilgrim’s (Michael Cera) blonde-haired ex-girlfriend. She sang “Black Sheep” with her fictional rock band, The Clash at Demonhead. Larson was just 19 at the time, and fans knew that she had some serious singing ability.

Brie Larson has impressed fans with her singing voice yet again. Be sure to follow the actress (and singer) on Instagram for more exciting and surprising covers.
