Paris Hilton Attending Met Gala for the First Time Ever
This May 1, Paris Hilton attended fashion’s biggest night out, the infamously exclusive Met Gala.
According to TMZ, the media personality will attend the Met Gala for the first time in her nearly two-decade-long career. Sources explain, “Paris got the invite from Vogue and the designer of her upcoming look, and luckily, she was available to go. Unclear who she’ll be working with for the outfit, but a big accomplishment like this must warrant a big designer.”

This news comes out after speculation that the event had become even more exclusive. Reportedly, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has been cracking down on the event’s already elite guest list. There are rumors that Wintour had no plans to invite the Kardashian and Jenner family clan to the event.
Initially beginning in 1948 as a charity event, the Met Gala has turned into one of the more celebrated annual fashion events. Its original purpose was to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Insitute. Now, however, it is one of the most anticipated and adored ceremonies- comparable to The Academy Awards and The Grammys.
In recent years, each annual gala is presented alongside a theme that guests are supposed to dress accordingly to. Last year, the theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and to say it caused a social media storm would be an understatement. Rihanna and Blake Lively were just two of the many celebrities that stole the night.

The upcoming theme will be “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The event will honor the late designer, who passed in 2019. While we do not know who will attend and what outfits will walk the carpet, we are excited.
